Enterprise Project Management (EPM)

Enterprise Project Management (EPM) aims to deliver a systematic and unified approach to project delivery throughout the organisation. It calls for well established project governance rules, clearly defining processes in areas such as:

  • Project approval
  • Project planning
  • Project execution
  • Resource management
  • Team collaboration & communication
  • Project reporting & analysis

Microsoft’s Project Server technology is extremely versatile, scalable and a great tool for establishing EPM principles in the organisation. However, Program Framework recognize that technology alone will not deliver success - People and Processes and the careful management of cultural change are crucial to successful EPM implementations.

EPM is not just a software solution or product...

...Its's an approach to integrate process, people and organisation with technology
Our experts have designed Program Framework’s own EPM implementation method ProFIM in order to establish a defined, structured and repeatable EPM project implementation process.
ProFIM is based on Microsoft’s MSF (Microsoft Solution Framework) with the objective of combining the implementation of technology with careful management of the organisational impact in terms of People and Processes.
Evolution, not Revolution
The organisations that have deployed EPM most successfully have one thing in common: They set reasonable goals based on their individual project management maturity level and plan for incremental success.
The ProFIM implementation method therefore aims to deploy technology in an evolutionary manner, matched to the maturity level of the client’s organisation and its ability to absorb change. EPM is implemented in stages, activating additional functionality and increasing the user community over time.
